Cookie Policy
Effective: April 22, 2026 · Last updated: April 22, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how YV Consulting Inc. d/b/a OparBase (“OparBase,” “we,” “us,” “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit oparbase.com or any subdomain (the “Site”).
This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information generally.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, and display settings) so you do not have to re-enter them on every visit.
We also use similar technologies, including:
- Local storage and session storage — key-value storage in your browser that works similarly to cookies.
- Pixels and web beacons — tiny images used to detect when a page was loaded or an email was opened.
- Software Development Kits (SDKs) — code included in our Site that collects information for analytics or advertising partners.
Throughout this Policy we refer to all of these as “cookies.” Cookies set directly by OparBase are “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by others (for example, Google or Meta) are “third-party cookies.”
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Keep you signed in and secure your session.
- Remember your preferences (such as dark mode).
- Understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
- Measure the performance of our marketing and, with your consent, show relevant ads on other platforms.

4. Your Choices
4.1 Cookie preference center
Use the Cookie Preferences link in our footer or reopen the banner at the bottom of any page to accept or reject Functional, Analytics, and Advertising categories. Strictly Necessary cookies cannot be disabled because the Site will not function without them.
4.2 Global Privacy Control
OparBase honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. When we detect GPC, we:
- Do not load Advertising cookies or pixels.
- Treat the signal as a valid opt-out of “sale” and “sharing” under California CCPA/CPRA and equivalent state privacy laws.
- Configure Google Analytics in a restricted mode that disables ad personalization signals.
You can enable GPC in browsers such as Brave, Firefox (via setting), or via the Global Privacy Control extension for Chrome-based browsers.
4.3 Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser:
Blocking Strictly Necessary cookies in your browser will break authentication and other core features.
4.4 Industry opt-outs
- Digital Advertising Alliance (US): optout.aboutads.info
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: youronlinechoices.com
4.5 Mobile device identifiers
If you visit oparbase.com on a mobile device, you can limit ad tracking via your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track.”
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → “Delete advertising ID.”
5. Do Not Track
There is no consistent industry or legal standard for Do Not Track (DNT) signals. We do not respond to DNT headers. We do respond to Global Privacy Control (see Section 4.2) and to consent choices made in our preference center.
6. “Sale” and “Sharing” Under US State Law
Certain US state privacy laws (including California's CCPA/CPRA) treat the use of advertising cookies as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, even when no money changes hands. OparBase uses advertising cookies on our marketing Site and therefore engages in “sharing” as defined by those laws.
You have the right to opt out of this “sharing.” You can do so by:
- Rejecting the Advertising category in our cookie preference center,
- Enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, or
- Submitting a request via the contact form on /legal/privacy.
We do not sell or share personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
7. Flash Cookies and LSOs
We do not use Flash cookies or Local Shared Objects (LSOs). Adobe Flash reached end-of-life in December 2020.
8. Third-Party Advertising
Some of our advertising partners (for example, Meta and Google) may use information about your visit to oparbase.com and other sites to show you ads on their platforms. These partners act as independent data controllers for their own advertising ecosystems. You can learn more and adjust your preferences at:
- Meta: facebook.com/adpreferences
- Google: adssettings.google.com
- LinkedIn: linkedin.com/psettings/advertising
- TikTok: TikTok Privacy Policy
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in law, or changes in our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be announced through the Site or by other reasonable means.
